The NEMBC is proud to collaborate with the Australian Government on the “Don’t Let a Car Change Who You Are” Road Safety Campaign, launched on 15 December 2024 by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
This campaign reinforces the importance of safe driving behaviours for all road users.
Recent road fatality data reveals that 1,300 people lost their lives on Australian roads in the 12 months leading up to December 2024, marking a 3.3% increase from the previous year.
The message of the campaign is ‘Don’t Let a Car Change who you are’, which asks drivers to self-reflect on the attitudes they bring to driving and encourages them to re-evaluate if they uphold their personal values when driving.
To help spread this vital message, we have produced six multilingual audio grabs in English, Arabic, Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese, featuring NEMBC talents from across the country.
We invite you to share these audio resources with your community and help promote safer driving for everyone. Stay safe on the roads!
